« Thank you for your email and for the CD. I must say that I took the time to listen to it several times last night and I think it’s particularly well done.
I really liked the way it sounded on CD and without headphones. The result is superb.
Congratulations on a job well done!
See you soon! »

«Hello Mr KERN,

I received the CD yesterday morning.
The sound of this instrument is magnificent.
If you close your eyes while listening to the pieces, you’re transported to the four sites of the Jacobins convent.

Thank you »

Hervé

« Hi Roland, I’ve received …. and listened to your album! Congratulations on your work! It’s like I told you, this music does my soul good! »

« I’m so glad I took the option of buying your CD, which I received this week. What a marvel! I’m talking about the quality of the object itself, both the CD and its sleeve. You can really tell how much care you’ve put into it.
As for the content… what can I say? Although I’m a master in other fields, I humbly admit that I’m only a modest layman when it comes to music, even if my education has taught me to distinguish the wheat from the chaff. Among the great family of classical instruments, I’ve always had a particular fondness for the cello; I’ve owned Bach’s cello suites since I was very young. I’ve always loved the depth of this instrument, which I feel touches the sacred. Above it, again in my opinion, the viola da gamba touches on the divine and, through your interpretation, the sublime. Congratulations on your mastery of your art. I’ll be sure to keep up with you in the future.
Finally, thank you very much for your thoughtful dedication.
Yours sincerely »

Dominique

« We met last Sunday for your private concert. I met you on 10 October at the Cloître des Jacobins, where I bought the CD of your album Révélations. I wanted to thank you again for so kindly dedicating your album to me. I appreciate your music and encourage you to continue composing. Before I met you, the musical instrument that moved me most was the cello. I love its low tones. With you I discovered the viola da gamba, which also has low tones, but this older instrument takes me even further back in time. I often listen to your album, which is full of serenity, in my humble opinion.

As you so rightly said, it’s important in our fast-paced modern world to be able to stop, contemplate and meditate. Art isn’t just there to embellish life, it also carries messages for those who know how to listen or see them. And that’s what you’re doing. »

« I’ve taken great care to listen to your album. Congratulations, it’s really superb, a remarkable piece of work, ripe with influences that can sometimes be distinguished, like perhaps Sainte Colombe in Débats, an elegant dedication to the ear. I have a particular fondness for ‘Les Fleurs de Lys’ and ‘Les Pianos’, very subtle, light, with many images that blossom. With the exception of ‘Apocalypse’, where the echo is very perceptible, I found the sound very good, though a little more difficult to capture in the high notes and attacks. A big bravo in any case, and I’m sure that other albums and compositions will follow. Hats off to you! »
